Now and again we like to share some of the questions people ask us about Wicked Reports  most often. These frequently asked questions come from folks just like you, who want to make smart, data-driven decisions for their businesses.

Set Up and Onboarding

How long does it take to set up Wicked Reports?

Setup takes from two to four hours, on average. Once you create your account, most users are up and running quickly. We start tracking all your business data immediately, and some of the reports will show you actionable information within 24 hours.

Do you do any onboarding?

Don’t worry – we’ve got your back. We onboard every customer to give you a complete understanding of each report and how to use it. We call, we provide video tutorials, and we give you access to a weekly webinar with our tech experts. You can just dial in if you’re having an issue and our data guys will sort it out for you on the spot.

Will it work with my particular set-up? It’s a bit unusual…

Yep – it works with every configuration. No sales funnel is exactly alike, which is why we go such a thorough onboarding process. We’ve seen just about every kind of funnel you can imagine — from pristine arrangements to patch jobs that would make MacGyver cry. Wicked Reports can handle them all.

Can Wicked Reports set it up for me?

Yes, we can. Many of our customers are busy and ask us to do it for them. Wicked Reports offers two Instant Tracking Setup Packages that offer a variety of options. Pick the one that works best for your business and we’ll take it from there. Your tracking metrics will be set up quickly – no worries, no sweat.

How long until I can see actionable data?

Six reports — Buying Day, Buying Time, Sales Velocity, Unique & Total Customer Counts, Lead Growth and Customer Frequency – are all generated and providing actionable data within 48 hours of signup. The ROI reports require our click tracking so they become actionable as we collect data.

How Wicked Reports Works

Do you offer free trials?

No – we do awesome demos instead. You can book one here. A demo is the best option if you want to play around with the tools before you set up an account. We also offer 14 days free when you get started.

Does it work for subscription-based businesses?

Sure does! We track the first sale, then add any subsequent purchases to the customer lifetime value. You see what you spent to acquire the customer the first time — but you won’t see any duplicate acquisition costs on subsequent purchases.  We only count it if it’s the first sale but we still add future payments to LTV.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. you pay only for what you need, when you need it. You’re free to cancel at any time.

Why not just use GA e-commerce tracking?

Our CEO, Scott Desgrosseilliers, has consulted with over 200 businesses on their Analytics and not one was happy with their GA E-commerce tracking. GA uses a pixel that has to be programmatically customized and even then it still has issues with firing too much / not enough. Frustrations with GA e-commerce tracking and Infusionsoft Lead Source are what led to the creation of Wicked Reports. Our tracking starts with your CRM data so you know when something actually happened in your business, if it’s reported.

Data Sources and Integrations

Of what value is the Lead Source field in Infusionsoft since Wicked Reports does all these things?

It will tell you at a very high level where your leads are coming from, such as “Facebook.” We have found with every client that about 80% of their ads have 100% ROI, but 20% of their ads have fantastic ROI. Knowing which ads to scale and which ads to kill makes our customers a lot of money.

Will I still need to use Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager?

Wicked Reports works just fine on its own, but if you have those tools set up already we strongly recommend you keep running them. They provide our software with richer data, which makes our reports even more actionable and insightful for you.

Does Wicked Reports take data directly from Facebook or do I have to input the data manually?

Wicked Reports takes data from what’s in Facebook.

Does Wicked Reports work retroactively?

Well, you can’t track what you can’t access, but about a third of our reports will pull some retroactive data. If you have records of previous campaigns, or some tags throughout your email list, we can also wire those into your new Wicked Reports account to help flesh out your campaign ROI and customer lifetime value.

Will Wicked Reports integrate with my Shopping Cart?

To get the full value from Wicked Reports, you need to add custom scripts to the Checkout pages. Most carts allow this; however a few do not. Check to make sure your Checkout pages allow custom scripts.

Tracking and Links

Do I have to change the links in my ads? If so, in what way / how?

For Facebook ads, yes, you need to add WickedIDs as indicated in this post. For Google AdWords, no.  As long as you are not using redirect links already, and do not have UTMs already, you can update your account with our tracking template, and then you are all set.

Do I need to put tracking code on all my website pages?

It’s important to ensure that a Wicked Reports tracking code is present on every page of your site. This includes landing pages, lead-capture pages, order forms – everything. You can add the code yourself, have a developer do it, or put it into your Google Tag Manager.

How can I be sure the tracking code is present on all my pages?

Wicked Reports has a tool that helps you to validate tracking codes quickly and easily. With only a few clicks—and no coding—you can make sure that the marketing data in your reports will be complete and accurate. Do I still need iTracker360.com?

No. We push the UTMs into your CRM upon request, with no charge.

Does it track source of the sale if there was no opt in? (Meaning, their first entry into the CRM is an order.)

Yes, it does.

How do you map the user that clicked, to the user that bought?

Can I get help if I have questions after Wicked Reports is setup and running?

Wicked Reports supports you in your efforts to track marketing metrics accurately. You’re never left to figure it out yourself, because we want to see our customers crush it with their marketing programs. We offer:
